A handy piece of free software I use whenever updating drivers (not necessary but I've found it helpful when using AMD's optional drivers, they can be finicky (I have an AMD card)). I used guru3d, first link when googling "download ddu", I'm fairly sure this is the official link. Then reinstall your driver directly from Nvidia's website. Note this will remove all settings you may have changed on your GPU. Key point is to run it in safe mode, make sure you know where DDU is downloaded, I save it to desktop for easy access.
